Demandtex is thrilled to announce the launch of its new Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Business Unit, created to serve the unique needs of the CPG sector with advanced solutions and insights.
Under Gabriel’s leadership, the CPG Business Unit will leverage Demandtex’s innovative technologies and data-driven approach to help CPG companies optimize their supply chain while maximizing service levels and quality.
What are your primary responsibilities in your current role at Demandtex?
At Demandtex, my primary responsibility is to solidify and expand our vision of supply chain integration within the CPG sector, particularly, and the manufacturing industry more broadly. We are moving beyond our established strength in Retail/Wholesale—where we earned recognition as Relex’s best partner in 2024—to encompass both manufacturers and producers of consumer goods, as well as their suppliers. Our goal is to deliver specialized integrated solutions that ensure seamless coordination within organizations and across multi-echelon supply networks, effectively connecting material suppliers to the end consumer.
Can you describe the vision you have for your role and for Demandtex as a company?
As the head of the Consumer Packaged Goods and Manufacturing Unit at Demandtex, I focus on empowering our team to deliver relevant market impact. Our aim is to significantly improve business operational excellence, enhancing capabilities for better adaptability and customer satisfaction. A part of this vision involves showcasing the Demandtex-Relex partnership as a pivotal enabler of optimal integration across the entire supply chain to deliver measurable value by increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and accelerating time-to-market, ultimately positioning our clients to exceed expectations.
What specific goals or outcomes do you hope to achieve in the near and long term at Demandtex?
In the short term, my goal is to firmly establish Demandtex as a key player in the CPG industry recognized for delivering best practices that effectively address the most pressing challenges. In the medium to long term, I aim to solidify our reputation as the industry leader through continuous improvement and advanced technology, creating sustained value that positions Demandtex as the go-to partner for implementing supply chain transformative change.
How does Demandtex differentiate itself from competitors in the market?
Demandtex differentiates itself by offering not only the most advanced technical and functional capabilities but also by recognizing that every industrial and local environment is distinct. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Supply chain management isn’t an exact science—it requires a realistic approach that might involve, for example, configuring advanced manufacturing planning and programming systems to accommodate diverse manufacturing modes (such as Make to Order/ Stock/ Availability; or Assemble/ Engineer to Order) or a combination of methodologies to optimize specific operations. What sets Demandtex apart is our ability to apply deep industry insight, extensive experience, and creative problem-solving capabilities for each client’s unique challenges and opportunities.
What are the key benefits and value propositions that Demandtex offers to its customers?
Demandtex offers three key value propositions that set us apart in the market. First, we enable comprehensive productivity enhancements that lead to improved market performance. Second, we provide state-of-the-art optimization, complemented by heuristic models for rapid processing response, to address challenges in distinct production environments, modelled through Digital Twins to try out planning scenarios before implementation. Finally, we are a deeply committed partner dedicated to building strategic alliances with each company we collaborate with, ensuring our support extends beyond implementation to deliver sustained success.
What motivated you to join Demandtex, and how does it align with your career aspirations?
I was attracted to Demandtex for its effective combination of global perspective and local insights, supported by our dispersed, international, and collaborative team. This approach, coupled with our strategic partnership with Relex and its broader ecosystem, aligns perfectly with my career aspirations and experience in driving effective business outcomes. Demandtex’s results-oriented mindset, balancing a long-term business vision with short-term effectiveness, resonates strongly with my professional approach and goals.
